Construction Update: 45/55 North Main Street

From Steve King, Senior Project Manager, Groen Construction:

• The steel erection crew has finished prefab walls and steel placement on the first floor
• The crane has been pushed back from the building's north wall
• Work is being completed to close up shear wall forms for the two stairs and elevator shaft
• The concrete for shear walls is set for placement on Friday, March 10, 2023
• Work continues to install plywood and wire mesh for the second-floor slab placement which should occur next week
• Temporary protection work is ongoing to close up the front of the building at N Main
• Installation of two temporary heaters is underway now to have heat running within the building to maintain temperature to place the concrete slab
• Material deliveries for the second floor of the building are due on-site from Canada at the end of next week.
