SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
Eligibility: The Art Olympics are open to all residents of Rochester, and those who come here to work, play, and recreate, of every age! All submitted work must be the artist's own.

Focus: The artist’s submission must, in their own way and from their own perspective, answer the following question: What does your dream play-space in Rochester look like?

Age Groups: Submissions will be judged among the following age groups:

  • Current Grade K-5 students
  • Current Grade 6-8 students
  • Current Grade 9-12 students
  • Ages 18+ non-students***

Medium: Participants may create their submissions in any medium they choose (colored pencil, oil paint, photography, digital art, crochet, etc.)

Submission Restrictions: No submission may be larger than 24” by 24” due to gallery space constraints.

Application: Please include the following with your artwork:

1. Required for all:
a. Full name
b. Contact email
c. Age group
d. Artwork title e. School (if applicable)

2. Optional, but suggested:
a. Artist bio—tell us a little bit about yourself! What do you want your audience to know? Please, no more than a half page, point 14 font size.
b. A short statement about your piece.

How To Submit:
Digital files can be sent via email to Nicole Lee at nicole.lee@rochesternh.gov. Digital files must be submitted as JPEG, PNG, PDF, or DOCX file types. The email subject must be titled, “Rochester Recreation and Arena Art Olympics Submission.” ***Digital files can only be displayed in printed form*** Non-digital files can be dropped off during regular business hours to Rochester Recreation and Arena staff at the Rochester Recreation Department (Located at the James W. Foley Memorial Community Center)
