Formerly known as the Rochester Community Center, the James W. Foley Memorial Community Center is home to a variety of municipal departments and nonprofit organizations. James W. Foley

James W. Foley was an American journalist known for his courageous reporting from conflict zones around the world. Committed to shedding light on the human impact of war, Foley reported from areas such as Afghanistan, Libya, and Syria. His dedication to truth and storytelling highlighted the struggles of those affected by conflict. Foley was tragically killed in Syria in 2014 while covering the civil war. His legacy continues through the James W. Foley Legacy Foundation, which advocates for the safety of journalists and the freedom of the press.
