WINTER PARKING BAN REMINDER

Parking Bans are declared as necessary per storm.

When a Winter Snow Emergency Parking ban is declared, no vehicle without an exemption permit may be parked on city streets or city parking lots during the declared time period.

Whenever there is a Snow Parking Ban, an email alert is sent out as City News & Announcements.  You can sign up for City News & Announcements on our e-Alerts subscription page.

Winter Parking Bans will also be posted on this website, www.rochesternh.net.

There are 2 types of Snow Removal Parking Bans.  During a snowstorm, or ice event, a City-wide Parking Ban may be issued to facilitate plowing and winter maintenance operations of all City streets.  After a storm, we may issue a Downtown Parking Ban to remove snow from streets and walkways.  In these cases, please refer to the Snow Removal Downtown Parking Ban Map.  A Request for Exception to Parking Bans may be submitted to the Police Department. A request for exception form can also be obtained at the Police Department, 23 Wakefield Street, during the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

For more information, you may also contact the Department of Public Works, 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., at (603) 335-4096.
