Codes and Ordinances Committee

The Codes and Ordinances Committee evaluates and proposes policies and actions involving the City Charter, Code of Ethics and Conduct, Rules of Order, City Ordinances, and Council By-Laws, providing oversight of Code Enforcement activities and other matters as directed by the City Council. The Codes and Ordinances Committee collaborates with and receives guidance in their activities from the City Attorney and staff of Building and Licensing Services. The Committee presents routine progress reports to the City Council, including suggested amendments to the previously mentioned City documents.

The Codes and Ordinances Committee consists of (5) five members of the City Council, appointed by the Mayor to serve on the Committee. The Mayor serves as an ex officio member.
