Park Hours & Closures:

  • Open Monday-Thursday one half hour before sunrise and one half hour after sunset. Sunrise/Set Table. 
  • Closed every Friday to support local law enforcement training. 
  • Closed the entire month of November to support local law enforcement training. 

Gate Hours:

  • The gate open at 7am and close at 8pm spring-November
  • The gate will be closed in November and remain closed until snow season ends. 
  • The park is still accessible during regular park hours, even if the gate is closed. Please park outside the gate and walk in.

Disc Golf League:

  • The Rec Dept does not run a Disc Golf League, but there are many groups who actively use the park and run events. To learn more about Disc Golf Leagues at Squamanagonic, please visit the community-run Squamanagonic Disc Golf Course Facebook Page.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Are there restrooms at this facility? 
A: There is at minimum one porta-potty onsite from course opening in the spring until the month of November. This unit is cleaned weekly. 

Q: Are there trash cans out on the course? 
A: There are no trash cans out on the course. It is a “carry in/carry out” facility however, there is a dumpster located in the interior parking lot for use. 

Q: Can I bring my dog to the course? 
A: Yes, dogs are allowed at this facility with some stipulations:

  1. You must clean up after your dog.
  2. Your dog should not interfere with the playing of disc golf.
  3. An abundance of complaints about either of these issues will cause this privilege to be taken away from all users. 

Q: What should I do if I find some lost property? 
A: Unidentified lost property may be brought to the Rec Office Lost and Found, and we highly recommended that you label your personal equipment with some sort of contact information.

Q: Is alcohol allowed out on the course? 
A: Alcohol is not allowed in public or on city property.

Tournament Information 

The following is a summary of the process and is intended to be a guide.  These processes and requirements are subject to change based on event specifics.  To ensure our parks and outdoor spaces encourage passive recreation for all of the community, the number of events allowed may be limited at the discretion of the Recreation Department.  

All requests for events or tournaments at this location will be directed to the Recreation Department and will be subject to the City's permitting process.  The Special Event Permit can be found at the link below:

Event host must have all participants sign a General Liability Waiver the day of the event.  A copy of the waiver must be presented to the Recreation Department for review.  After the event, signed copies of the waivers must be shared with the Recreation Department.   

Tournaments Directors will need to provide a Certificate of Insurance listing the City of Rochester as an additional insured.  Event host must notify participants at the time of registration that event is contingent up successful receipt of the City of Rochester Special Event License. 

There is not a cost for use of the park, however, there is a processing fee of $200. The processing fee covers cost associated with administrative processing and review and any post event maintenance related to equipment (refreshing Port Potties, dumpster etc).  Fee can be paid via cash or check at the Recreation Office (150 Wakefield St, Suite 1, Rochester NH 03867).  If your preference it to pay electronically we can prepare and send an invoice.  There is a 2.99% and .25 cent processing fee for electronic payments.   

Please note, this reservation is for non-exclusive use of the park.  The park will remain open for use by the general public during this time.
